We are seeking a skilled Audio Video Warehouse Technician to join our team. This role involves the integration, maintenance and troubleshooting of audio and video equipment within a warehouse environment, prior to it being shipped to a remote event. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in electronic systems, telecommunication and low voltage wiring, with the ability to interpret schematics and work with various tools. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with hands-on system integration experience to contribute to high-quality Audio and Video solutions for the Broadcast Industry.
Duties:
Integrate video and audio equipment into racks to meet the requirements of specific events.
Setup and test the equipment prior to shipping. Ensure that all necessary items for the event are included in the shipment.
Properly pack sensitive electronic equipment for shipment to events.
Track all inventory going out and coming back in and report any lost or damaged equipment.
Inspect and test equipment upon return for any defects or missing equipment and report any issues to the Operations Manager.
Arrange for the efficient shipping of equipment to and from events, which includes Lithium Ion batteries.
Ensure that all shipments are compliant with all DOT, FAA and IATA Rules and Regulations as pertaining to the shipment of Lithium Ion Batteries.
Candidate will be required to pass a Lithium Ion Battery shipping certification course.
Fabricate and repair cable assemblies as necessary.
Keep the warehouse organized.
The ideal candidate should possess:
Very good soldering skills, mechanical skills and strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to troubleshoot, test and repair equipment would be a bonus.
Advanced knowledge of audiovisual systems and equipment, including microphones, audio, video systems
Knowledge of Dante, MADI and other audio distribution systems is a bonus
Ability to work within a team environment.
Ability to walk, stand, crouch, climb (ladders and stairs), and lift up to 50 lbs.
Requirements:
Three years of audiovisual event experience in theater, corporations, hospitality, government, and/or convention centers
Associates or Bachelors Degree in Electronics or related technical field preferred
Strong organizational skills
Strong computer skills with knowledge and experience with MS Word and Excel
Strong computer hardware skills
Be willing to travel and work on remote events as required.
Good driving record.
