Job Summary

Core Audio Triage Engineer โ€“ Culver City, CA.

The Audio & Media Technologies (AMT) group is at the heart of Appleโ€™s innovative products, including Mac, iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Apple TV, macOS, iOS, watchOS, tvOS and visionOS. The Core Audio team provides the audio foundation for features such as Siri, phone calls, FaceTime, media capture and playback, and APIs for thirdโ€‘party developers.

Responsibilities

Embedded within the Audio Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL) team, you will debug and investigate software issues, build tools and systems, and use engineering analysis to solve challenging problems across the stack. Youโ€™ll support developerโ€‘facing APIs for applications and drivers, ensuring quick resolution of bugs and efficient debugging analysis.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 3+ years of industry experience.
  • Solid understanding of digital audio software and systems.
  • Experience developing with Swift, Python, JavaScript or other scripting languages; preferably lowโ€‘level C/C++ and realโ€‘time systems knowledge.
  • Strong problemโ€‘solving, analytical skills, and proficiency with tools and development environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to articulate issues clearly and collaborate under ambiguity.
  • Preferred: BS or MS in CS, EE, or related field.
  • Passion for digital audio.
Compensation & Benefits

Base pay ranges from $115,700 to $204,000, depending on skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple offers opportunities to become a shareholder, participate in restricted stock units, and purchase stock at a discount.
