Job Summary

Join our team! We are looking for a Front-End and/or Full stack developer who has an excellent technical foundation in front-end technology such as React to be part of the Cloud team.

You will take part in Distech Controls' constant innovation to create and maintain the best products on the market. You will be involved in innovative projects such as the development of web/cloud applications and mobile building management applications.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

Development

Develop fluid and compatible web applications for mobile devices using recent frameworks such as React / Typescript /Material UI.

Use various communication methods such as REST and Web sockets.

Use your creativity to solve complex problems.

Work with source code management and project management tools such as Azure DevOps.

Participate in the continuous integration and deployment of applications (CI/CD).

Actively participate in exploration and research phases for product design.

Team

Actively participate in daily Scrums, task planning, and agile ceremonies.

Collaborate closely with various external stakeholders during development.

Play a proactive role in improving design methods, tools, processes, and standards within the software team.

Participate in the code review process during development.

Skills and Minimum Experience Required

Essential

Bachelor's degree in software engineering/computer engineering/computer science or equivalent

Minimum 5 years of experience in Front-End software development

Strong knowledge of web technologies (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3)

Solid experience in React and Typescript

Front End, Developer, Cloud, .NET, Technology, Bilingual

Structured, methodical and organized in their work

Developed analytical and synthesis skills

Great team spirit and excellent interpersonal skills

Autonomy, leadership and initiative

Ability to work in-office (hybrid) to the Distech Controls office in Brossard

Fluent in English and French

Important

Knowledge of the Microsoft Azure Devops environment, including Pipelines

Knowledge of recent versions of ECMAScript

Creativity in user interface development

Strong knowledge of object-oriented concepts

Ability to set up and follow project documentation

Experience in developing unit tests

Experience with Git

Asset(s)

Experience in .NET / ASP.NET development

Experience with Docker/Container and Kubernetes

Experience with other UI web development frameworks such as Angular or Vue
