As an Event Production Specialist at AVI-SPL, you occupy a vital hybrid role that bridges the gap between event production coordination and technical execution. You will support the end-to-end coordination of onsite, hybrid, and virtual events and post-production projects for high-profile domestic and international clients. This position requires a unique blend of superior organizational skills, white-glove customer communication, and a deep understanding of live event and video production technology. WHAT YOU WILL DO
As an Event Production Specialist at AVI-SPL, you occupy a vital hybrid role that bridges the gap between event production coordination and technical execution. You will support the end-to-end coordination of onsite, hybrid, and virtual events and post-production projects for high-profile domestic and international clients. This position requires a unique blend of superior organizational skills, white-glove customer communication, and a deep understanding of live event and video production technology. You are responsible for ensuring that the client's vision is technically feasible and flawlessly executed.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Event Coordination: Partner with the Senior Production Manager to plan and execute event productions that deliver measurable results. Lead small to mid-sized projects from initiation to completion.
  • Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for event requestors. You must possess the ability to translate complex technical solutions into clear, actionable information for clients.
  • Project Scoping: Develop realistic project scopes and estimates, maintaining accountability for the budget and resource allocation throughout the project lifecycle.

DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Technical Assessments: Conduct essential event site visits prior to productions to perform technical assessments of the space, ensuring power, connectivity, and layout meet the specific needs of the event.
  • Technical Guidance: With support from the broadcast engineering team, provide expert production advice to clients, internal stakeholders and service delivery managers, identifying creative and budget-conscious solutions.
  • Video Production: Coordinate postproduction projects and utilize basic editing experience to create and assemble short-form corporate videos and broadcast assets (such as lower thirds and multi-boxes) for event delivery.
  • Vendor & Logistics Management: Source and negotiate production estimates with external partners and manage vendor payments through finance SOPs.
  • Production Oversight: Oversee daily coordination and design of live event productions, maintaining industry standards across video, audio, lighting, and streaming.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Must-have skills & job qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in live event production, event coordination, or audio/visual production.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of live event and video production technical solutions and familiarity with the hardware/software used in modern corporate environments.
  • Communication & Organization: Exceptional customer communication skills with a track record of being highly organized and detail-oriented in a fast-paced environment.
  • Site Assessment Capability: Proven ability to conduct on-site technical evaluations to ensure production readiness.
  • Video Editing: Experience with basic non-linear editing for the creation of corporate video content.
  • Pressure Management: Ability to maintain a positive, professional attitude and "white-glove" service level during high-pressure live situations.

Nice-to-have skills
  • Experience in various production roles including but not limited to technical directing, audio mixing, camera operation, and editing.
  • College degree in video production, broadcasting, communications, or similar field.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
  • Travel is required based on requirements and location of productions and service needs
