FASTer Way to Fat Loss is a leading digital fitness and nutrition company focused on transforming lives through high-quality workouts, expert coaching, and exceptional digital content. Our in-house media team produces hundreds of videos each year, including workouts, trainings, internal communication videos, podcasts, and promotional content. We are seeking a versatile, detail-driven Audio Engineer to elevate the sound quality and consistency of our productions.
Position Overview
The Audio Engineer is responsible for the full audio pipeline across all FASTer Way productions. This includes planning, recording, editing, mixing, mastering, music selection, and sound design. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver who can deliver polished, consistent audio in a fast-paced production environment. This role is on-site in Clearwater, Florida, with occasional travel for live shoots and flexibility during peak production cycles.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Production and Recording
  • Collaborate with producers, videographers, and trainers to define audio needs for each project.
  • Select, prepare, and set up microphones, mixers, interfaces, wireless systems, and recording rigs.
  • Manage routing, gain staging, and signal flow through consoles and digital systems.
  • Record clear, high-quality audio for workouts, trainings, internal videos, promotional content, podcasts, and webinars.
  • Perform equipment tests prior to sessions; maintain and calibrate all audio gear.
Post-Production and Editing
  • Edit and mix multi-track audio using professional DAWs such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro, or Adobe Audition.
  • Remove breaths, mouth noises, background noise, and artifacts to achieve a polished result.
  • Apply EQ, compression, gating, and mastering to deliver broadcast-quality dialogue and music.
  • Sync and align audio with multi-camera video timelines.
  • Maintain organized project files, naming conventions, backups, and archives.
Music, Sound Design, and Audio Branding
  • Select or arrange high-energy music for workouts, intros, promotions, and podcasts.
  • Edit music to fit pacing, transitions, and emotional tone.
  • Manage licensing for royalty-free music and maintain a curated music library.
  • Create stingers, transitions, and subtle sound effects to enhance storytelling and maintain brand consistency.
Quality Assurance and Equipment Management
  • Ensure final audio meets loudness standards and plays consistently across devices and platforms.
  • Test audio in multiple listening environments.
  • Inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot audio equipment; recommend and document repairs or upgrades.
  • Stay current on industry best practices, tools, and technologies.
Collaboration and Support
  • Work closely with producers, editors, videographers, and trainers to meet project timelines.
  • Provide guidance and basic training on audio best practices to team members.
  • Support occasional live-event or livestream audio needs.

Required Qualifications
  • Three or more years of professional audio engineering experience for video, broadcast, or digital media.
  • Strong proficiency operating and maintaining mixers, microphones, wireless systems, and recording interfaces.
  • Advanced editing and mixing skills, including dialogue cleanup and balancing audio with music.
  • Proficiency with major DAWs such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Adobe Audition, or Ableton Live.
  • Experience with music selection, sound design, and licensing.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or certificate in Audio Engineering, Sound Design, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
Physical and Work Environment Requirements
  • Ability to lift and transport audio equipment up to 40 pounds.
  • Comfortable working on active fitness sets with trainers performing physical movement.
  • Ability to adapt to fast-paced, high-volume production timelines.
