Job description

The Customer Service Representative serves as a key liaison between customers and internal departments to ensure accurate order processing, on-time deliveries, and clear communication across Sales, Warehouse, Purchasing, and Production teams. This role supports daily customer requirements, EDI order management, shipment coordination, and system updates in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.


  • Ensure customer delivery requirements are met by monitoring production schedules, shipments, and order fulfillment
  • Maintain clear and professional communication with customers, sales operations, warehouse staff, purchasing, and production teams
  • Apprise internal teams of new model launches, part changes, and updated customer requirements
  • Review customer shipping requirements (production and service) and prepare accurate pick lists for warehouse staff
  • Coordinate special, urgent, or expedited shipments as required to meet customer deadlines
  • Monitor and update customer portals for shortages, delivery changes, and order status updates
  • Assist in setting up new part numbers, customer profiles, and ship-to locations in company systems
  • Manually enter customer requirements not received through EDI (including production, service, R&D, and special orders)
  • Work closely with the IT Manager to identify, troubleshoot, and correct EDI errors or system issues
  • Maintain organized records of orders, communications, and delivery confirmations
  • Support continuous improvement efforts to improve order accuracy and customer satisfaction
