Position Summary... What you'll do...What you'll do... The Walmart Marketplace is a curated community of respected professional sellers who offer only top-quality, authentic products and best-in-class customer service. The Manager, Business Development will be responsible for recruiting and launching our next generation of Marketplace sellers. This role is focused on recruiting the top eCommerce Marketplace sellers. You will manage the business development lifecycle and pipeline, from sourcing to transactability – ensuring our new sellers are fully equipped for immediate success. If you are “seller obsessed” and eager create new business opportunities and inventory acquisition strategies that drive sustainable revenue growth, this role is for you! This role will drive growth by acquiring and launching small and medium-sized business (SMB) sellers at scale. We are looking for a high-volume operator who thrives in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment and is energized by outbound outreach. This individual will own the full acquisition funnel with the Home and ETS categories—from high-velocity cold calling and lead generation to onboarding and launching new sellers—while consistently hitting ambitious activity and conversion targets. Success in this role requires strong time management, resilience, working cross functionally with category stakeholders, and the ability to quickly build rapport, overcome objections, and move sellers from initial contact to live status with speed and efficiency.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of successful sales/business development experience, preferably in e-commerce, marketplace or retail tech
  • 3-4 years’ experience in Channel Partnerships, Business Management, Product Marketing, Omni-Channel Merchandising, or a related area. E-commerce experience required.
  • Proven ability to build strong business relationships and influence senior stakeholders
  • Experience prospecting, qualifying, and cold-calling companies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Self-motivated and self-directed. Demonstrates initiative in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint, with the ability to effectively manage communication, analyze data, and create professional presentations
  • Experience working with Collectibles sellers is a plus

You’ll sweep us off our feet if:
  • You’re seller obsessed and relationship driven.
  • You have experience in 3P Marketplace
  • You have previous experience with CRM and/or Salesforce
  • Proven experience in high-volume outbound sales, business development, or seller acquisition roles
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed activity metrics (e.g., cold calls, emails, launches) in a fast-paced environment
  • You are familiar with internal dashboards and Looker reports
  • You have a track record of developing and closing high impact deals
  • You thrive in constantly evolving, fast-paced, dynamic environments.
  • You’re results oriented with a proven track record of leadership and taking ownership that produces exceptional results.
  • You build trust quickly and can lead by influence with the ability to translate between commercial and operational audiences.
