Job description

Our National Security Team supports the intelligence community, providing, operating, and assuring critical voice, video and collaboration services for the full spectrum of operations.
AT&T has an opening for a Materials Analyst who will optimize supply chain efficiency by managing material activities such as materials and data system analysis, stock management, inventory control analyzing and reporting, and overseeing approved equipment purchase tracking, and supplier performance to ensure seamless logistics operations.
Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
  • This position requires office presence a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted. No relocation is offered.
  • Manage material planning activities to ensure uninterrupted production and on-time customer delivery by collaborating with project managers, purchasing, engineering and external vendors to establish prioritizations of items requested to prevent project bottlenecks.
  • This role oversees demand planning alignment, material availability, and inventory optimization while driving continuous improvement across planning processes and systems.
  • Partners closely with Property Management, Procurement, Engineering, Finance, and Program Management to balance cost, service, and operational efficiency. Maintains Material Management Databases, local procurement funds and operating instructions.
  • Utilize various mechanized systems to enter, collect and analyze data, generate detailed reports, and create efficiencies in report data to track costs and maintain budget analysis.
  • Oversee and optimize relationships with external suppliers, carriers and service providers ensuring efficient and cost-effective supply chain operations.
  • Address diverse supply chain problems by evaluating identifiable factors, demonstrating good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions, and ensuring seamless logistics operations.
  • Coordinate complex logistics functions, including distribution of IT materials, ensuring minimal risk of loss or quality deterioration.

Required Qualifications:
Candidate must have 7 years of experience that can be a combination of work history and education. This equates to a Doctorate and 0 years, master's and 1 years, bachelor's and 3 years, associates and 5 years or HS diploma and 7 years.
  • Microsoft Office Suite experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with the full life cycle of customer assets.
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating and coordinating across project teams and components facilitating information sharing, reuse and productivity improvements.
  • Prior experience in a lead role.
  • Possess strong communications skills, to include written and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with defense organizational structures, operational processes, or logistics/IT environments.
  • Experience briefing or supporting senior government leadership.
  • Experience with SAP asset management and ServiceNow. Ability to learn tasks quickly with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, maintain focus in a stressful environment, and be able to adapt to a variety of challenges.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of IT software and hardware, with three or more years of experience working with IT logistics.
  • Experience in the physical inventory of equipment, as well as proper labeling, tracking, and documenting the movement of IT equipment.
