    Job Description

    THIS ROLE REQUIRES FDOT Advanced MOT Certification or ATSSA certification 

    We are looking for an experienced and safety-focused MOT Supervisor to lead, coordinate, and oversee traffic control operations. This role is responsible for supervising crews, ensuring proper execution of Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) plans, and maintaining compliance with all safety and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership ability, excellent communication skills, sound judgment, and a commitment to safety and operational efficiency.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Supervise MOT crews and ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to safety best practices.
    • Ensure crews load the necessary tools, materials, and equipment for assigned tasks.
    • Meet or communicate with the project point‑of‑contact before operations to verify task details.
    • Coordinate trucking with drivers and supervise employees to complete assigned project tasks.
    • Oversee traffic control setup and removal, including lane closures, signs, cones, barricades, and flagging operations.
    • Maintain a clean and organized worksite and adjust traffic control strategies based on site conditions.
    • Transport equipment, signs, and trailers using company vehicles.
    • Ensure DHA forms, Daily Logs, Truck Inspections, Tickets, and all required paperwork are properly completed and submitted daily.
    • Report equipment loss, damage, and low material inventory to management.
    • Participate in manager meetings on company policies and procedures.
    • Install and remove ground‑mounted traffic signs and assist with permanent sign installation when needed.
    • Understand underground utility locate markings and ensure safe operation of hand tools.
    • Collaborate with customers and coworkers to maintain a secure and efficient work zone.
    • Follow all safety procedures, report hazards, and perform other duties as assigned.
    Qualifications
    • THIS ROLE REQUIRES FDOT Advanced MOT Certification or ATSSA certification 
    • Previous supervisory or lead experience in traffic control, MOT operations, or related field preferred.
    • FDOT Advanced MOT Certification or ATSSA certification preferred.
    • Valid Driver's License with a safe driving record.
    • Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
    • Ability to manage crews, coordinate multiple tasks, and adapt to changing work conditions.
    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching.
    • Flexible schedule, including availability for nights, weekends, and extended shifts (10+ hours).
