Job description

OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to support the design, development, configuration, integration, and maintenance of complex SAP systems and custom solutions. This role involves working across multiple SAP modules, providing high-level troubleshooting, and ensuring solutions meet business and mission-critical requirements.
GENERAL DUTIES:
  • Design, develop, and configure custom applications and enhancements within SAP systems.
  • Integrate SAP solutions with other enterprise applications and data sources.
  • Provide Tier 3-level support for complex and escalated SAP technical issues, ensuring timely resolution and clear documentation.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, functional leads, and project managers to translate business requirements into technical specifications and solutions.
  • Optimize existing SAP code and participate in performance tuning, debugging, and system testing activities.
  • Partner with SAP Basis and Security teams to ensure system integrity, performance, and compliance with security policies.
  • Ensure all development efforts adhere to SAP best practices, established coding standards, and documentation requirements.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must have an Active TS clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field with 4-8 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 2-6 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in the software engineering lifecycle, including design, development, testing, troubleshooting, and debugging of software for new and existing systems.
  • Proficient in software requirements analysis, software architecture, and hardware compatibility assessments.
  • Experience developing and maintaining infrastructure and platform-level software tools.
  • Strong knowledge of software development principles, standards, processes, and tools across the full software development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with significant impact on project deliverables and operational outcomes.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional and client-facing teams.
  • Ability to develop complex solutions that require in-depth technical knowledge and collaboration with internal domain experts.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience mentoring or reviewing the work of junior engineers; capable of leading technical processes or projects.
  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience using Atlassian JIRA for project tracking.
  • Hands-on experience with one or more of the following programming languages or technologies:
    • Java, C++, Embedded Systems, Linux environments
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms, cloud architecture, and DevOps tools such as:
