Our Dispatchers have extensive customer contact while using various systems to communicate with field technicians from our high paced call centers. What you'll do as an AT&T Dispatcher: Receive, screen, update and dispatch installation and repair work orders for the new U-verse product line Process work to meet service commitments with specific deadlines. Under general supervision, this position is responsible for receiving, screening, dispatching and updating installation and repair work orders for U-verse products. This position is responsible for interacting with supervisors, field technicians and customers, to resolve installation and repair work order problems.

GENERAL DUTIES The functions listed below are representative of duties performed by this job title. Duties generally include but are not limited to the following: 1. Extensive customer contact by telephone to confirm due dates and access, negotiate and re-negotiate commitment time. 2. Prepares Premises Technician daily logs to schedule next-day commitments. 3. Verifies Premises Technician logs with field supervisor; accepts rearranges and changes. 4. Uses appropriate systems to contact Premises Technicians and field Supervisors. 5. Routes repair tickets to appropriate Premises Technicians. 6. Receives information from employees and performs required workorder status transactions. 7. Initiates customer contact to obtain access information and provide customer with status of their work order. 8. Interacts and coordinates with other departments to verify customer work order information. 9. Uses information from mechanized systems to determine further actions of work orders. 10. Builds manual tickets when mechanized systems are not functioning properly or per management request. 11. Operates a computer terminal 12. Updates/closes tickets for Premise Technicians when mechanized systems are not functioning properly or per management request. 13. Uses desktop computer to enter data and/or obtain information. 14. Processes work to meet commitments with specific deadlines. 15. Follows established office, safety practices and procedures. 16. Completes training as required to meet minimum requirements of the job. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
