Job Description

We are seeking a Semiconductor Equipment Technician to support production equipment, maintain cleanroom operations, and assist engineering teams in keeping manufacturing systems running at peak performance. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude who enjoys troubleshooting equipment, performing preventive maintenance, and working in a clean, technology-driven environment. You'll play an important role in improving equipment reliability, supporting production goals, and maintaining a safe and efficient workplace.
Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on production equipment.
  • Assist with installing, upgrading, and commissioning manufacturing equipment.
  • Monitor equipment performance and report abnormal operating conditions.
  • Support cleanroom operations by maintaining critical utility systems and production equipment.
  • Assist with chemical, gas, and material inventory while following established safety procedures.
  • Help maintain equipment documentation, maintenance records, and preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Build, modify, or improve equipment and tooling as directed by engineering.
  • Perform basic electrical wiring, soldering, plumbing, or mechanical repairs as needed.
  • Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to maximize equipment uptime.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment.
Education
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associate degree or technical certification preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field is a plus.
Experience
  • Minimum two years of experience in manufacturing, equipment maintenance, industrial maintenance, or semiconductor production environments.
  • Experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or process equipment preferred.
  • Experience working in cleanroom or highly regulated manufacturing environments is a plus.
  • Experience with pumps, chillers, filtration systems, compressed gases, or utility equipment is beneficial.
Skills
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read and follow technical procedures and work instructions.
  • Basic electrical wiring, soldering, plumbing, or machine shop experience is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to safety and quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Comfortable working around manufacturing equipment while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including noise, heat, and industrial manufacturing settings.
