Job description

JOB SUMMARY
Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team at Lotus Behavioral Health. The ideal candidate should be skilled in-patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment, as well as possess excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Contract- $55- $60.00/hourly

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical history review, physical examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic tests for patients entering residential facility.
  • Formulate accurate diagnoses and develop appropriate treatment plan.
  • Prescribe medications and provide patient education regarding medication usage, potential side effects, and other relevant information.
  • Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
  • Provide patient counseling and support, addressing concerns and answering questions regarding their medical condition and treatment options.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, psychiatry NPs and behavioral therapists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, documenting patient encounters, assessments, and treatment plans.
  • Stay informed about current medical practices, guidelines, and advancements through continuous education and professional development activities.

Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant Program.
  • Current NCCPA Certification (PA-C).
  • Active Florida Physician Assistant License in good standing.
  • Strong clinical skills and ability to work within the scope of practice established by Florida law and supervising physician protocols.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced behavioral healthcare environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining ethical and professional standards.
Education and Experience:
  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant (PA) program.
  • Current PA-C certification through NCCPA.
  • Active and unrestricted Florida Physician Assistant License.
  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience preferred.
  • Experience in behavioral health, psychiatry, addiction treatment, or primary care preferred.
  • Valid and unrestricted DEA Registration.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain credentialing with insurance carriers.
  • No suspension, exclusion, or debarment from participation in federal healthcare programs.

  • Supervision will be provided.
