Training Coordinator

Location: Irvine, California

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning, scheduling, facilitation support, and continuous improvement of the New Hire Orientation program.
  • Coordinating presenters, materials, and logistics to ensure a seamless onboarding experience.
  • Maintaining and continuously improving program structure, content flow, and learner engagement.
  • Tracking attendance, feedback, and program effectiveness metrics; implementing improvements as needed.
  • Coordinating and scheduling training sessions, workshops, and meetings.
  • Creating, updating, and maintaining professional training presentations.
  • Sending and managing calendar invitations via email or other scheduling platforms.
  • Supporting trainers and subject matter experts by addressing administrative and logistical requirements related to training delivery.
  • Partnering with manufacturing, quality, and process owners to support OJT deployment and execution.
  • Coordinating handoff from orientation to production floor to ensure continuity of training.
  • Tracking OJT progress, trainer availability, and qualification status.
  • Supporting documentation and traceability of OJT training records in alignment with QMS requirements.
  • Helping identify gaps in OJT readiness and escalating risks impacting production or compliance.
  • Ensuring training assignments are accurate and maintained in the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Supporting training workflows related to document changes, onboarding, and role-based training requirements.
  • Maintaining training documentation to ensure audit readiness and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Generating and monitoring training metrics such as completion rates, qualification statuses, and onboarding effectiveness.
  • Partnering with Manufacturing, Quality, HR, and Engineering to align onboarding and training needs.
  • Coordinating with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and trainers to ensure content accuracy and delivery readiness.
  • Supporting ramp-up initiatives by aligning onboarding schedules with hiring plans.
  • Gathering feedback from new hires, trainers, and stakeholders to improve onboarding and OJT processes.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve training efficiency, scalability, and learner experience.
  • Attending tiered meetings and participating in continuous improvement (CI) initiatives as needed.
  • Supporting additional training-related projects and initiatives as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Training & Development, Education, Quality, Business, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in a regulated manufacturing or quality environment.
  • Proven ability to support or coordinate onboarding, training, or OJT programs.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills in fast-paced settings.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Attention to detail, compliance mindset, and a continuous improvement approach.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and training documentation processes is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of GMP, ISO, or other regulatory training standards.
  • Direct experience supporting manufacturing ramp-up or high-volume onboarding initiatives.
  • Familiarity with developing and maintaining training content and presentations.
