At Home Sales professionals often encounter challenges such as staying motivated without direct supervision, maintaining clear communication with clients and team members remotely, and effectively managing their time to meet sales targets. To overcome these obstacles, it's important to set a structured daily routine, leverage digital communication tools, and establish regular check-ins with managers or colleagues. Proactively seeking feedback and staying engaged with virtual team meetings can also help maintain a strong sense of connection and accountability.

Job description

In-Home Sales Consultant - Aging-in-Place Solutions (St. Louis, MO)

Location: St. Louis, MO & Surrounding Areas
Company: 4 State Home Improvements
Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation: Commission-based with strong earning potential
Expected Earnings: $80,000-$150,000+ (top performers exceed this)

About the Role

4 State Home Improvements is expanding in the St. Louis market and is seeking an In-Home Sales Consultant to meet with homeowners interested in walk-in tubs, safety showers, stairlifts, and accessibility upgrades.

This is a consultative, in-home sales role with company-provided appointments. Many customers are seniors or adult children helping aging parents, so professionalism, patience, and trust-building are essential. This is not retail, door-to-door, or telemarketing.

What You'll Do
  • Run pre-set, qualified in-home appointments throughout the St. Louis area

  • Assess homes and recommend appropriate safety and accessibility solutions

  • Educate homeowners on walk-in tubs, safety showers, stairlifts, and options

  • Present pricing and financing options; close sales

  • Build trust through respectful, professional consultations

  • Take accurate measurements and document customer needs

  • Coordinate with operations to ensure a smooth customer experience

Who We're Looking For
  • Proven in-home sales experience (home improvement, remodeling, mobility, or similar)

  • Comfortable working with seniors and families in thoughtful decision-making situations

  • Strong communication, listening, and closing skills

  • Professional appearance and demeanor in customers' homes

  • Self-motivated, organized, and results-driven

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Experience with walk-in tubs or stairlifts is a plus, but not required for strong in-home sales professionals.

Why Join 4 State Home Improvements
  • Growing demand in the aging-in-place and senior safety market

  • Consistent lead flow and marketing support

  • High-need products (not discretionary remodeling)

  • Competitive commission structure with uncapped upside

  • Opportunity to grow with an expanding regional company

This Role Is a Great Fit If You
  • Prefer consultative, relationship-based sales

  • Enjoy helping seniors remain safe and independent at home

  • Are comfortable closing high-value in-home sales

  • Want control over your income with solid support behind you

Apply today to join our St. Louis in-home sales team and help homeowners live safer, more independent lives.
