Customer Service Representative - Healthcare / Medical Equipment
Company: Corner Home Medical
Location: Rochester, MN
Job Type: Full-Time
Corner Home Medical is seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our fast-paced, patient-focused healthcare team. This role is ideal for candidates with strong customer service skills who want to work in the durable medical equipment (DME) and healthcare services industry. We will train the right person-medical terminology or billing experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service through phone, email, and in-person interactions.
  • Take customer orders and accurately enter information into the computer system.
  • Assist walk-in customers with product questions, retail sales, and order support.
  • Initiate insurance verification and collect required insurance information.
  • Prepare billing documentation including CMNs, waivers, and required forms.
  • Maintain confidentiality and communicate professionally with customers and referral sources.
  • Balance the daily till and assist with deposit preparation as needed.
  • Support inventory management and maintain a clean, organized retail environment.
  • Participate in company training, in-services, and on-call duties as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by branch management.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Customer service experience preferred-healthcare or medical office experience a plus.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance billing, or DME equipment helpful but not required.
  • Experience with Brightree software is preferred; training is available.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent phone etiquette and professional customer interaction skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced office setting.
  • Strong attention to detail and high accuracy with data entry.
  • Ability to learn medical products, insurance requirements, and Medicare guidelines.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Computer proficiency required, strong organizational skills a must.
  • Team-oriented, dependable, and motivated to provide high-quality service.

Physical Requirements
This position may require:
Standing, walking, sitting, kneeling, squatting, lifting, twisting, reaching, and grasping.
Work Environment
Office / retail medical equipment branch setting.
