Job Title:Director, Product - HOKA Road Footwear
Reports to:Sr. Director, Product - HOKA Performance Footwear


Location: Portland, OR (Hybrid)

Typically 3 times per week in office, Tuesday - Thursday

The Role

As Director of Product for Road at HOKA, you will write the next chapter of disruptive, beloved footwear experiences for our highest volume category. You'll lead a stellar team into the future, delivering unique high-performance solutions to road runners and elite athletes around the world. This role is all about exemplifying the spirit, creativity, and collaboration core to HOKA, and making a meaningful impact on the brand, the team, and the global running community.

Your Impact

  • Lead and develop a best-in-class Performance Road PLM team, mentoring, coaching, and empowering five PLMs of various experience levels.
  • Guide the team to deliver exemplary briefs and presentations for key GTM gates, modeling an always-on approach to product scrutiny and education.
  • Co-create and execute seasonal and long-range line plans for Road/Race, partnering with the Sr. Product Director to craft consumer-first Road strategy.
  • Drive consumer engagement to deliver product-informing insights and build competitor awareness through regular market travel and research.
  • Model and practice exceptional cross-functional communication, driving alignment across multiple teams in a matrixed environment.
  • Be a role model for delivering hard feedback in a timely, empathetic manner and manage complex projects, demonstrating PLM excellence.
  • Represent HOKA Road Product with confidence, leading presentations at all key GTM gates and building excitement for the category through engaging PR interactions and interviews.
  • Help develop a strong HOKA Road/Track Racing strategy, working with Athlete PLM to strengthen relationships with Sports Marketing and Athletes.
  • Drive toward competitive Race solutions across Road and Track, managing relationships with WA and ensuring compliance of all key product.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5-7 years related experience in performance footwear product line management and/or merchandising with a strong product background.
  • 1-3 years people management experience required.
  • Strong experience working with athletes preferred.
  • Team leader with experience fostering and attracting talent.
  • Proven critical thinking skills with regards to unique product solutions.
  • Clear and concise communicator with proven negotiation and influencing skills; easily adapts to needs of different audiences.
  • Experience cultivating consumer insights and leveraging them to create thoughtful product briefs and brand buy-in.
  • Experience influencing cross-functional stakeholders in a matrixed alignment.
  • Strong presentation skills - ability to confidently communicate complex technical concepts and strategic direction.
