The Opportunity 

We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Group Financial Reporting Manager to lead the delivery of accurate, timely and insightful financial reporting across the Group. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this pivotal role is responsible for the Group's statutory and management reporting, accounting policy framework, and compliance with relevant accounting standards. 

Working closely with senior stakeholders across the business, you will provide technical accounting expertise, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and deliver meaningful financial insights that support strategic decision-making and organisational performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the accounting policy of the Group and provide guidance on transactions in light of the Group's accounting policy. 
  • Provide advice to the business on the application of accounting standards and interpretations, and lead projects/processes to identify and implement new accounting standards. 
  • Assist other functions in the Group by providing relevant financial information to support the preparation of the Group's budget, cashflow forecasts, covenant reporting, tax returns and tax provision and reports as required. 

  • Develop and implement processes to improve the efficiency of the Financial Reporting function. 

  • Develop and monitor performance metrics, of the function and the team members, to enable effective performance management. 

  • Ensure delivery of consolidated management reports across the Group. 

  • Ensure delivery of Monthly Board Reports and key metrics to provide commercial insight. 

  • Prepare and take overall responsibility for the half year and annual statutory accounts for the Group. 

  • Work closely with the Financial Controller on ad hoc projects.


About You
 

  • Completed tertiary studies in Finance, Commerce, Accounting, or Business. 
  • Holds a CA or CPA qualification. 
  • Holds 5 to 7 years of experience in a comparable role. 
  • Experience within a Big 4 accounting firm is highly desirable. 
  • Proven background in group reporting. 
  • Previous experience within a large ASX-listed or publicly listed organisation. 
  • Strong leadership capabilities with a track record of driving and implementing major change initiatives. 
  • Hold a valid working with children check or willingness to obtain upon commencement.
