Arkansas State University Mid-South currently has an open position for Coordinator of Admissions and Records. This is a full-time, 12-month position with college benefits. This position reports to the Registrar.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required; four years of experience in higher education admissions, records, student services, or related field. Good working knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Outlook and Excel. Knowledge of student information systems (SIS) and communication tracks. Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse constituents, both on- and off-campus. Must have an understanding of admissions processes and student advisement. Attention to detail and passion for fostering student success through systems. Must have the ability to remain in a seated position for prolonged periods while performing essential job duties. Must effectively manage time, prioritize work, and maintain consistent productivity throughout the workday. Requires the ability to remain focused on assigned tasks and promptly resume work following routine interruptions. Preference will be given to applicants with a master's degree, with previous experience in similar SIS software (Banner or another Ellucian product), as used on our campus, and familiarity with CRM software (Element451).
Responsibilities:
- Student application processing in Element 451-this includes documents, tasks, and communication related to Admissions
- Student data entered and maintained in Ellucian Banner with accuracy and timeliness
- Transcript request processing
- Assisting in student registration, including schedule changes and withdrawals
- Scanning/Indexing/Verifying student documents using Document Manager
- Making student ID cards and issuing parking permits
- Answering the Admissions phone line
- Serves as main back-up for the Admissions front desk
- Participating in New and Concurrent student orientations
- Participating in Commencement activities and setup
- Serve on various campus committees
- Some evening hours required
- Perform other duties as assigned
