# Assistant Project ManagerHot JobCapital Holding Group -Springfield - Ozark, MO 65721## OverviewPosition TypeFull TimeCategoryManagement## Assistant Project Manager**Assistant Project Manager**The Assistant Project Manager will collaborate with the Project Manager or other team members to assist with the planning, organization, and management of the day-to-day operations of commercial construction projects.**RESPONSIBILITIES*** Work directly with Project Manager and Preconstruction Teams to understand size and scope of projects along with timelines and applicable project deadlines* Assist Superintendent in maintaining construction schedule* Adjust plan as necessary based on field conditions and progress* Interact effectively with subcontractors to clearly define work scopes, ensure all work items are being addressed* Acting as direct liaison between Project Manager, superintendent, subcontractors, and vendors* Read and understand job bid instructions, detailed specifications, prepare a "take off" of materials included in the job, estimate all necessary labor, materials, buyout items, equipment costs to prepare an estimate* Assess opportunities and risks through plan reviews and site visits* Assisting Project Manager with bid preparation, review, and submission for Federal, State, County and private jobs* Assist in development of project schedule* Promote a safe work environment## Qualifications**REQUIREMENTS*** Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering discipline or Construction Management preferred* Previous experience in a project management role is a plus* Ability to read and interpret shop and design blueprint drawings* Proficient with Microsoft Office software* Demonstrated ability to promote a safe work environment* Excellent team and communication skills* Problem solving and ability to adjust to changing circumstances* Willingness to travel**This is a full-time, benefits eligible position.
