Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Steel Indiana is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Accountant. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate knowledge in general ledger accounting; month-end closing and financial report preparation; computer skills including advanced use of Excel and other Microsoft Office applications; internal control processes; problem solving and root cause analysis; and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. Nucor will not sponsor the need for a visa now or in the future.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
  1. 4-year degree in Accounting or related field (OR) 2-year degree in Accounting or related field and 1 years relevant experience in Accounting or Finance
  2. Experience with Excel and other Microsoft Office applications

Preferred Qualifications:
