Job Summary

Continuum Care Services Inc. is hiring a Licensed Substance Abuse Professional for our Community Support Team. The substance Abuse Professional will focus on supporting individuals Substance Abuse issues in a variety of locations such as, residential, school, workplace and community settings. This individual will coordinate and monitor the array of services and support identified in each person's Person-Centered Plan. These interventions are strength-based and focused on promoting recovery, symptom reduction, increased coping skills, and achievement of the highest level of functioning in the community. The Substance Abuse Therapist will be able to apply substance use/abuse treatment to those in battling substance use/abuse

Job Type: Full-time

Hours: Open, flexible scheduling; General Office hours are Monday-Friday 9am-5pm; Community-based service hours may extend until 8:00pm seasonally (i.e. during spring and summer months) when daylight hours are longer; weekend availability for candidates who prefer weekends

Education :

  • The Substance Abuse Professional must have LCAS/LCASA, CSS, or CSAC and have the abilities, skills, and knowledge required by the population and age to be served

Territory Coverage:
This position covers Raeford (Hoke County), Lee County, and Moore County. Travel between sites within these counties is required.

Experience:

  • Assisting the Team Leader with behavioral and substance abuse interventions
  • Assisting consumers in attending professional appointments, life skills, independence, and rehabilitation as necessary according to the Person-Centered Plan
  • Ensuring linkage to community services and resources
  • Maintaining records and charting on each individual and reporting unusual and critical incidents in a professional, timely manner (within 24 hours)
  • Ensuring linkage to community services and resources
  • Familiarization with medications used by the client and polices regarding medication administration
  • Other duties assigned by the Team Leader/Program Coordinator/Clinical Director that reasonably relate to achieving performance goals.

Occupational Certification/Licenses

  • North Carolina Driver's License
