Job description

Sayres is seeking an experienced RATT Lead – Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Team in San Diego, CA with a SECRET clearance, verifiable in DISS.

Position Summary

The LCS RATT Lead serves as the senior engineering readiness advisor for Littoral Combat Ships, supporting assessments of propulsion systems, maintenance execution, and fleet readiness.

Responsibilities

  • Lead engineering and maintenance readiness evaluations.
  • Assess propulsion, auxiliary, and mission-support systems.
  • Evaluate maintenance effectiveness and material condition.
  • Provide recommendations to improve operational readiness.
  • Coordinate with fleet maintenance and training organizations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 15 years of supervisory Navy engineering experience.
  • Extensive experience with Navy surface ship engineering operations.
  • Experience supporting maintenance assessments and readiness programs.
  • Strong understanding of Navy maintenance and depot-level repair processes.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 25+ years highly desirable.

Occasional travel may be required. Support is primarily based in San Diego, CA, with occasional travel to Navy fleet concentration areas including Everett, WA; Pearl Harbor, HI; Sasebo, Japan; Yokosuka, Japan; and Singapore, as well as other customer locations as required.

Salary Range: $90,000–$140,000, commensurate with experience. Compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and market considerations.
