Description:
Candidates sought to provide Wargaming SETA support. The successful candidate will support the DARPA program manager by overseeing the development, planning, execution, and analysis of the program's end-of-phase wargame. The ideal candidate will lead a multi-functional team of government, technical contractors (SETA, etc), and performers to establish key metrics for evaluating program capabilities against realistic threat scenarios.
Requirements:
- Candidate needs at least 2 years of experience developing and executing war games
- Level of effort will be up to 50%, with initial planning intended to be closer to 25%
- On-site support is required.
- Current TS Clearance is required. With SCI preferred.
- 4-year Bachelor's Degree
Position Responsibilities.
- Oversee the development, planning, execution, and analysis of the program's end-of-Phase wargame
- Lead a multi-functional team of government, technical contractors (SETA, etc), and performers to establish key metrics for evaluating program capabilities against realistic threat scenarios
- Interface with the independent government team to collect and incorporate relevant intelligence data to inform red team capabilities and actions; including codification of capabilities into qualitative and/or quantitative effects for wargaming, modeling, and simulation activities
- Interface with performers to codify their developed capabilities into qualitative and/or quantitative effects for wargaming, modeling, and simulation activities
- Document and codify the wargaming process to inform future iterations
- Follow related DOW activities and incorporate lessons learned (may include periodic travel).
Desired capabilities and characteristics:
- Prior experience working on programs at DARPA as a technical and program management support contractor
- Knowledge of DARPA processes and procedures
- Ability to quickly learn unfamiliar areas needed to broadly support program goals
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Project
- Demonstrated attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills - both written (to include PowerPoint) and oral
- Self-starter who is willing to both take the lead and provide support in a team role in a complex, fast-paced, cross-disciplinary work environment
- Strong organization skills with the ability to multitask and respond to quick turnaround requests
- Flexible and readily adaptable to changing responsibilities
- Evaluate and guide technical reports, briefings, meetings, and other performer communications
- Willingness to engage stakeholders and collaborators across the various DoW agencies and services
- Shape and oversee early operational analysis
- Prepare DARPA work products, including presentations and reports
Hourly range for the position is $70-$120/hr. Specific compensation will be determined by several factors including experience, education, skills, and knowledge.
