Job Overview

The Associate Visual Designer is responsible for the creation of provocative and engaging visual solutions for in-store marketing campaigns and collateral. The Associate Visual Designer is an imaginative, fast thinking, conceptual designer with experience in branding and fashion. 

Essential Functions

  • Create original designs for in-store, vendor and in department merchandising techniques and maintain design standards throughout all collateral 
  • Assist in design and development of visual concepts for special projects, in department merchandising concepts and seasonal campaigns   
  • Research and stay on trend with the latest cutting edge ideas and design, in fashion, materials, typography, illustrators and culture
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership of projects and collaborate with internal and external team members

Qualifications and Competencies

  • Bachelor's Degree from a 4-year college or university
  • 1-2 years related experience
  • Practices open and continuous communication, values keeping others informed, effectively presenting information in a clear, concise manner
  • Excellent leadership, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across functional lines and at many levels
  • Ability to think creatively, strategically and technically
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and Company needs

Physical Requirements

  • Requires periods of walking, standing, communicating, reaching, crouching and climbing ladders
  • Frequent use of computers and other technology, necessary to perform job functions, including handheld equipment, cash register and ability to process register transactions
  • Frequently lift/move up to 25lbs
