Job Title: Associate, System Integration and Test Engineer 

Job Code: 38338

Job Location: San Diego, CA

Job Schedule: 9/80 (employee's work 9 out of every 14 days - totaling 80 hours worked - and have every other Friday off)

 

Job Description:

L3Harris in San Diego, CA is seeking a skilled, self-driven Test Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for testing circuit cards and software, test case automation as well as conducting tests on RF hardware. The ideal candidate will possess excellent troubleshooting abilities and demonstrate proficiency in both Python and LabVIEW.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and execute test plans for RF circuit cards, software, and RF hardware
  • Design and automate test scripts using Python and LabVIEW
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues during testing
  • Document test results and provide detailed feedback to engineering teams
  • Collaborate with engineers to improve test procedures and product quality

Required Qualifications (one of the following):

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
  • Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Python and LabVIEW
  • Hands-on experience with circuit card testing and RF hardware testing
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to independently conduct design verification testing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including producing clear technical documentation and delivering effective presentations
  • Collaborative spirit with an enthusiasm for innovation, hands-on development, and continuous improvement
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Understanding of digital design fundamentals, including modem architectures, power supplies, interfacing with ADCs, FPGAs, and more.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is $76,500 - $141,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
