Job description

Position Summary:

The Strategic Sourcing Manager is a highly visible position that will develop, coordinate, and manage sourcing plans that will create maximum benefits for the business. The Strategic Sourcing Manager will identify and implement significant cost reduction strategies; while improving quality,deliveryand service from our supply base.

Position Requirements:

  • Drive cost-focused strategy forassignedsites and commodities across Nortek Air Solutions
  • Responsible for sourcing strategy, supply market analysis, supplier capability assessment, supplier recruitment and management, RFQ/P development, analysis of complex data, and managing projects across multiplesites
  • Participates in assessment and prioritization of strategic sourcing opportunities to achieve business objectives
  • Lead cross functional product development activities with key suppliers.
  • Supports performance tracking activities including sourcing savings, contract compliance and othermeasures
  • Ensure price controllership via PPV reporting and contractmanagement
  • Other Ad hoc duties as assigned bymanager

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Engineering.
  • A minimum of 5 years strategic purchasing experience or equivalent.
  • Proven success in meeting aggressive cost reduction, supplier negotiation and productivity targets.
  • Advanced analytical abilities and problem-solving techniques in understanding data collection and the ability to develop intuitive and actionable insights
  • Thorough knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office software and ERP systems
  • Travel up to 25%, some international travel.
  • Must be able to maintain a valid passport.

Preferred:

  • Manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
  • MBA Preferred
  • CPSM and/or APICS certified
