Position Information

Position Overview

As a Associate Software Developer in Test you will design, develop, and maintain the automation suites for various products offered by HealthStream in accordance with technology best practice. Work with QA team leaders and developers to understand and refine requirements. Test manually and via automation any functionality produced by the Development Team.   

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for adhering to all HealthStream security policies, procedures, and assigned training.

  • Help drive best practices including CI/CD and automation and associated development. 
  • Help drive testing strategies and automation concepts 
  • Able to identify test cases and create automation for those tests 
  • Interpret metrics and alerts from various monitoring platforms to help direct appropriate action 
  • Able to interpret logs and correlate those to application behaviors. 
  • Works with Lane leads and Product Owners to advocate for customer experience and behavior. 
  • Effectively leverage AI tooling on a regular basis to enhance quality and personal throughput 

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any discipline), or closely related field of study is preferred. 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of at least one object-oriented programming language. 
  • Knowledge of software technologies (Frontend, middle tier or backend) tying those to product requirements. 
  • 1-2 years experience in a Quality Assurance role preferred
  • UI Automation experience utilizing Selenium preferred

Qualifications

  • Work with other team members to ensure test plans properly cover the applications being tested 
  • Possess a solid grasp on the functionality of all products within the team 
  • Exhibit appropriate attention to time management, professional conduct and adherence to corporate policies 

Compensation

  • The salary for this position is $78,629.
