Role Summary

The Senior Associate - Scrum Master, Enterprise Agile Delivery Tools supports the delivery, enhancement, and adoption of New York Life's enterprise agile delivery tool ecosystem. This role serves as a Scrum Master for platform teams managing agile tooling while also supporting enterprise intake, roadmap execution, and adoption activities across NYL.

The role operates with defined guidance from leadership, partners closely with technology and business stakeholders, and focuses on execution excellence, transparency, and continuous improvement to ensure enterprise tools enable consistent agile delivery outcomes.


Key Responsibilities

Agile Delivery & Scrum Support

  • Serve as Scrum Master for one or more platform teams delivering enterprise agile tools.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies in alignment with NYL Agile standards (Sprint Planning, Standups, Reviews, Retrospectives).
  • Track sprint commitments, dependencies, risks, and delivery metrics.
  • Identify and escalate impediments impacting delivery timelines or quality.

Enterprise Tool Intake & Backlog Management

  • Support the intake and refinement of requirements for enterprise agile delivery tools.
  • Partner with stakeholders to clarify scope, acceptance criteria, and priorities.
  • Maintain well-groomed backlogs aligned to agreed roadmaps and delivery plans.

Roadmap Execution & Delivery Support

  • Assist in maintaining and executing tool-specific roadmaps aligned to NYL priorities.
  • Coordinate delivery activities across design, development, testing, and release phases.
  • Support dependency management across teams and shared services.

Training, Adoption & Enablement

  • Support the development and delivery of training and enablement materials for enterprise agile tools.
  • Assist with rollout planning, user onboarding, and adoption tracking.
  • Collect user feedback and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Stakeholder Communication & Reporting

  • Provide regular status updates on delivery progress, risks, and dependencies.
  • Support preparation of leadership updates, dashboards, and metrics.
  • Partner with leadership to ensure transparency and alignment.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years of experience working with Agile delivery tools and frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience as a Scrum Master or Agile delivery practitioner.
  • Experience with enterprise agile tools (e.g., Jira, Jira Align, Azure DevOps, Rally).
  • Strong understanding of Scrum and Agile principles.
  • Ability to work across teams and manage competing priorities.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Scrum certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent).
  • Experience supporting enterprise platforms or shared services.
  • Exposure to financial services or regulated environments.
  • Experience supporting training, enablement, or change initiatives.

Success Measures

  • Agile ceremonies are executed consistently and effectively.
  • Enterprise agile tools are delivered on time and adopted as intended.
  • Stakeholders have clear visibility into delivery progress and priorities.
  • Continuous improvements are identified and implemented based on feedback.

Pay Transparency

Salary Range: $100,000-$143,000 

Overtime eligible: Exempt 

Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes 

Sales bonus eligible: No 

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
