Principal Associate, Data Science positions offered by Capital One, National Association (Plano, Texas).

  • Exercising more discretion, partner with a cross-functional team of data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to deliver a product customers love.

  • Leverage a broad stack of technologies - Python, Conda, AWS, H2O, Spark, and more - to reveal the insights hidden within huge volumes of numeric and textual data.

  • Build machine learning models through all phases of development, from design through training, evaluation, validation, and implementation.

  • Translate the complexity of your work into tangible business goals.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires a bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field and 5 years of experience in performing data analytics.

  • In lieu of a bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and 5 years of experience as stated, employer will accept a master's or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields or an MBA or foreign equivalent degree in a quantitative concentration and 3 years of experience as stated, or a PhD or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields.

  • Must pass company assessment.

  • Position reports to Plano, TX office. Telecommuting permitted in accordance with company policy, but must live within commuting distance of stated office.

  • Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently.

  • Eligible for employee referral program.
