Job description

Title: Operational Technology (OT) Associate
Location:  Freeport, TX
Salary: $90,000 - $150,000
Schedule: 9/80; 5-8s
Relocation Available  

Focus: The Operational Technology (OT) Associate ensures the reliability, security, and optimal performance of the process control network supporting the Distributed Control System (DCS) across a large, integrated manufacturing site. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and enhancing network infrastructure and control system connectivity to minimize downtime and ensure safe, efficient plant operations. The OT Associate acts as a technical resource for diagnosing complex issues, implementing preventive measures, and collaborating with engineering, operations, and IT teams to coordinate efforts across the Texas Operations site. The Operational Technology Associate provides troubleshooting and maintenance support of process control networks, plans and executes tasks associated with process control hardware and collaborates with multiple site units to improve the systems' performance and safety. 


Operational Technology Associate Essential Responsibilities:

  • Perform all required operational maintenance, administrative, and troubleshooting of server hardware and operating systems (Windows) in the OT environment.
  • Works with IT to maintain secure networks by implementing cybersecurity policies and managing antivirus software, and patch management while minimizing disruption to operations.
  • Updates procedures and completes necessary Management of Change documents for Site OT processes and systems.
  • Collaborates with vendors, application developers, and corporate IT groups to resolve complex problems and evaluate/test software changes and updates.
  • Assist with managing DCS Level 1 and Level 2 spare equipment across site.


Operational Technology Associate Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree* in Engineering, Computer Science, or another relevant scientific or technical discipline.
  • 3+ years of relevant technical experience.
  • Basic knowledge of programming or scripting languages.
  • Experience with DeltaV programming, virtualized computer systems (DeltaV Virtual Studio), and commercial process control systems (DeltaV or Mod V) preferred.
  • Prior Olin experience in a relevant position preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) and possess a valid US Driver's license.
