Strategic Sales Account Manager

We are seeking a Strategic Sales Account Manager to manage and grow key customer relationships for a global manufacturing organization. This role serves as the primary liaison between customers and internal teams, driving account growth, managing RFQs, negotiating pricing, and ensuring overall customer satisfaction.
The ideal candidate has experience in account management or sales within an OEM or Tier 1 manufacturing environment and excels at building strong customer relationships while managing multiple projects and strategic growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customer stakeholders
  • Identify and grow opportunities within existing accounts
  • Manage RFQs and coordinate cross-functional internal teams to support customer needs
  • Negotiate pricing and commercial terms
  • Forecast sales activity and track key account metrics
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and timely issue resolution
  • Support internal sales processes, reporting, and account planning
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience in sales, account management, or customer-facing roles
  • Experience supporting OEM or Tier 1 manufacturing customers preferred
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM/ERP systems (QAD & IFS preferred)
  • Ability to travel domestically as needed
Work Environment
  • Office-based with occasional travel to customer locations
  • May require visits to manufacturing facilities and production areas
