Overview

The Associate QA Analyst/Developer is responsible for MICAS and Synappx Manage support functions, including but not limited to creating SQL reports, testing systems, and the latest updates. This candidate will be doing deep dives into MICAS data and understanding how it comes into our systems and its management once in the DBs.

Responsibilities
  • Develop automated tests
  • Build automated test frameworks
  • Automate the build and deployment process
  • Increase automated test cases vs. manual test cases
  • Support and Drive Automation (functional and preferably performance) within the supported projects and where necessary.
  • Determine test strategies for complex projects spanning multiple applications and/or platforms
  • Work closely with Project Lead and QA Manager, Enterprise Release Management and Development to effectively manage the deliverables and interdependencies within the given release container
  • Analyze project and/or change documentation (BRD, FRD, TDD, CR) to determine and document appropriate test approach for complex multi-application/platform projects
  • Identify the appropriate QA resources and document requirements
  • Participate in solution design and ensure testability of functions and applications
  • Ensure that all QA work products are delivered according to the project test plan and schedule
  • Identify and communicate risks during test planning and execution
  • Monitor overall test execution and manage contingency planning for test plan variances
  • Ensure test environment requirements are communicated and completed for QA test readiness
  • Responsible for overall project defect detection, reporting, and tracking, including: collaboration on defect resolutions with developers/partners and identification of re-test requirements
  • Report defects, manage defect triage and test activities within agile & CMMI methodology, and continuous development and integration methodology SDLC
  • Support AI-driven QA initiatives, including evaluating and implementing AI-assisted test generation and defect prediction tools
  • Develop and maintain automated regression suites for Synappx Manage and MICAS, leveraging CI/CD pipelines where applicable
  • Ensure responsible use of AI tools by following data privacy, security, and model output validation practices; document assumptions, prompts, and results as needed
  • Stay current on AI and test automation developments and recommend process improvements that increase quality, speed, and reliability of releases
Position Specifications
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or equivalent education and experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience in quality assurance testing, software development, systems analysis, or a related technical role.
  • Working knowledge of QA methodologies, software testing practices, defect tracking, change control, and the software development life cycle.
  • Experience testing web, database, and Windows-based applications, including system testing, regression testing, user acceptance testing support, and defect validation.
  • Ability to review business requirements, functional requirements, technical specifications, design documents, and change requests to develop appropriate test scenarios.
  • Experience creating and maintaining QA documentation, including test plans, test cases, test scripts, traceability matrices, defect reports, and test results.
  • Experience writing and executing SQL queries for data validation, reporting, troubleshooting, and analysis.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft technologies, including .NET, ASP.NET, VB.NET, IIS, Visual Studio, and Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Microsoft Office, Access, and Excel.
  • Experience working in Agile, CMMI, or structured SDLC environments.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage deadlines, deliverables, and quality outcomes.
  • Development experience is preferred.
  • Experience with coded unit tests, test automation frameworks, or load testing frameworks is a plus.

The listed salary range or contractual rate excludes bonuses, incentives, differential pay, and any other forms of compensation or benefits. The starting salary will be determined by several variables, including but not limited to experience, education, training, certification, and location. You may also be eligible to receive an annual discretionary incentive award, commissions, and program-specific awards, which are subject to the rules governing these programs.
