Job description

IXL Learning, developer of personalized learning products used by millions of people globally, is seeking an Associate QA Analyst focused on UI and front end testing. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology and education with an ability to work closely with our product managers and engineers to develop and execute test strategies for a variety of exciting new features. IXL is growing and we are hiring QA Analysts across several teams including Mobile Apps, IXL Web and Business Tools. #LI-EM1

This position requires you to be in our San Mateo, CA, headquarters office.ย 

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
  • Ensure quality on our front-end web applications with a strong focus on UI testing
  • Review business requirements and develop test plans, test cases, test estimations, and test execution reports
  • Perform functionality, regression, integration, UI, smoke, exploratory, stress and performance testing
  • Manage all communications related to QA status on a daily basis and report potential risks during all stages of development lifecycle
  • Work closely with development and product teams to resolve any issues that arise out of the testing process
  • Analyze test results and facilitate resolution of issues
  • Iterate on existing testing processes and standards to improve efficiency and accuracy
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • BA/BS degree required
  • Ability to work both independently and on a wide variety of teams
  • Passion for making bullet-proof applications and improving education through technology
  • Self-motivated, detail oriented, proactive and collaborative
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of JIRA, Unix, SQL, JavaScript, CSS, source control, and mobile device development is a plus

The base salary range for this full-time position is $71,000 to $75,000 + benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.ย
