About the Position
Our client is seeking a Logistics Project Analyst to join its operations team in Dayton, Ohio. This role serves as a key analytical and project management resource within the logistics and supply chain organization.
The Logistics Project Analyst will leverage data-driven insights to identify cost-saving opportunities, optimize logistics operations, and lead cross-functional improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate combines strong technical and analytical capabilities with business acumen-translating complex data into actionable strategies that enhance logistics performance, reduce waste, and improve overall process efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze logistics and supply chain data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and cost-reduction opportunities
  • Develop and manage logistics-related projects from concept through implementation
  • Partner cross-functionally with operations, procurement, manufacturing, and finance teams
  • Create dashboards, reports, and KPIs to support data-driven decision-making
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on transportation, warehousing, and inventory optimization
  • Present findings and recommendations to leadership in a clear, actionable manner

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related field
  • 3-6 years of experience in logistics, supply chain analytics, operations analysis, or project management
  • Experience supporting logistics or distribution operations in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel; experience with SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools preferred
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP experience a plus)
  • Experience working on cross-functional projects
  • Continuous improvement mindset (Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies preferred)
  • Ability to work onsite in Dayton, OH
