About the role
Basic Purpose: Monitors, responds and trains for emergency/security systems and incidents. Is the safety and policy leader for the overnightshift.Assistsguests and employees with operational tasks. Responds as a 1stresponder trained in CPR.Answers phones and directs calls, as well asassistingwith any other tasks needed on the overnight shift.
What you will do
Assist the Hotel team with responsibility to ensure the protection of guests,patronsand associates; their property, Hotel property,buildingand grounds. Enforce Hotel rules,regulationsand policies as well as the departments' rules,policiesand standards.
Promote safety awareness and enforcement throughout the Hotel to reduce accidents andlossby providing training asrequired.
Respond to all emergency calls including Emergency Response team calls. Willassistin the Fire Command center when needed. Display complete knowledge of the fire/life System and all support systems, their functions and emergency response procedures.
Patrol building noting and correcting safety, security, and fire hazards. Ablewalk/runup stairscarrying a fire extinguisher.
Implement all policies and proceduresregardingsecurity and safety.
Share duties in Operations Center with emergency and department phone monitoring, closed circuit television monitoring, alarm monitoring,vendor/solicitor/visitoraccess, and key control.
Respond properlyinany hotelemergencysafety situation.
Assist with Worker's Compensation, complete reports, andmaintaina healthand safety.
Write comprehensive incident reports and conduct thorough investigations. Maintain report records,assistand follow-up on investigations, and approve reports and logs. Initiates andassistsGeneral liability reports. Promotes loss prevention through training and awareness throughout the building to reduce claims.
Project an image of friendliness,professionalismand willingness to provide personalized services to all building occupants, workers, and neighbors, whether over the phone or in person.
Act as a liaison with all law enforcement agencies, city and federal agencies and hotel associations.
Respond to and mediate all non-emergency security calls, minor injuries, disputes, stressful, and complicatedissuesetc.
Containand transport items potentially contaminatedin accordance withBlood Borne Pathogen program and training.
Provide basic security services, key control,guestand function room lockproblems/reprogramming,guestroom safe malfunctions, and lock out.
Participate and take an active role in the development and implementation of the hotel's fire plan. In addition to testing the hotel's Fire and Emergency Response preparedness.
Works harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
What you bring
At least 1+ years of security experience, preferably withinHotels
High School diploma -BachelorsDegreePreferred.
