Do you have coaching, data management skills and experience supporting the OST workforce? We're seeking a MIYDA Coordinator to help strengthen Michigan’s OST Workforce through technical assistance, professional learning cohorts, and advancing the awareness of MIYDA.

This is a remote position, with travel and in-person meetings required. This role is funded through a grant and is dependent on annual grant allocations.


Position Summary

The MIYDA (Michigan Youth Development Associate) Coordinator supports MASP’s efforts increase the awareness of the Michigan Youth Development Associate Certificate and Credential and to provide facilitation, guidance and technical assistance to those pursuing the certificate and or credential. This role will support the administration and technical assistance of the MIYDA program. Increasing awareness, recruiting, attending events, and working alongside partners to develop cohorts and pathways to advance the OST Workforce.

This is a remote position, with travel and in-person meetings required. This role is funded through a grant and is dependent on annual grant allocations.

Essential Duties


Systems & Program Coordination

  • Coordinate the administration of the MIYDA Certificate and Credential Program to ensure effective implementation of program processes and timelines.
  • Manage the MIYDA Learning Management System (LMS) and online portal, including training content, participant resources, and program functionality.
  • Maintain MIYDA program materials, guidance documents, and credential resources to ensure consistency and accessibility.
  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of MIYDA systems and technology to enhance program delivery and user experience.
  • Coordinate assessor recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and observation processes to support consistent implementation of MIYDA standards.

Data & Organizational Support

  • Maintain accurate program records, participant data, credential documentation, and assessor and candidate files to support program operations, reporting, and compliance.
  • Collect, organize, analyze, and report program data related to candidate participation, cohort progress, attendance, and credential completion to support grant requirements, organizational reporting, and informed decision-making.
  • Prepare reports, meeting materials, and supporting documentation for organizational leadership, funders, and program partners.
  • Monitor program data and performance trends to identify opportunities for continuous improvement, strengthen program implementation, and support positive participant outcomes.

Cohort Development & Technical Assistance

  • Coordinate and facilitate MIYDA cohort meetings to foster participant engagement, collaboration, and successful credential completion.
  • Monitor candidate progress and maintain cohort tracking systems to support timely completion of credential requirements.
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance on the MIYDA portal, credential requirements, and program processes to support candidates, assessors, and partners.
  • Connect candidates with resources, assessors, and supports that promote successful completion of the MIYDA Program.
  • Conduct external assessments of MIYDA program candidates when needed.

Communication & Outreach

  • Promote awareness of MIYDA through outreach, presentations, and strategic communications.
  • Support the development and distribution of MIYDA program resources and communications that support participant engagement and program visibility.
  • Respond to general inquiries and provide information on MIYDA pathways, program benefits, and available resources.
  • Support outreach initiatives that expand participation in the MIYDA Program and strengthen the youth development workforce.

Sector & Partner Support

  • Coordinate MIYDA Advisor Group and Work Group meetings to support collaboration, planning, and program implementation.
  • Support partnerships with Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs, higher education institutions, and statewide organizations to strengthen MIYDA credential pathways and workforce development.
  • Engage assessors, advisors, and partner organizations to support collaboration, alignment, and consistent MIYDA program implementation.
  • Represent MASP and the MIYDA Certificate and Credential Program at meetings, conferences, and partner events as assigned.

Qualifications and Competencies

  • At least one year of related experience in data management and reporting, coordinating programs, workforce development efforts or related projects
  • Knowledge and experience with the Michigan Youth Development Associate Certificate and Credentialing Program
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Learning Management Systems and virtual collaboration tools
  • Experience providing technical assistance, customer support, coaching, or guidance to diverse groups of learners, professionals, or stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities, meetings, and deadlines.
  • Experience convening groups, facilitating meetings, and supporting collaborative planning processes.
  • Experience supporting youth involvement.
  • Deep understanding of OST ecosystems, youth development principles, community engagement practices, and systems change.
  • Strong understanding of cross-functional team dynamics, with the ability to foster interdepartmental collaboration and strategic alignment.
  • Commitment to equity and expanding OST access for Michigan youth.
  • Willingness, availability, and ability to travel statewide and nationally, as needed.


Physical and Environmental Expectations

This position requires working indoors most of the time with some occasional work outdoors for events and interaction with communities. This position spends most of its time working at a desk and computer. The typical workweek is seven and a half hour workdays, five days per week with some occasional weekend work, as well as longer hours when deadlines warrant.

Salary and Benefits

Starting annual salary is $50,000 - $55,000, commensurate with experience, plus a comprehensive benefit package including employer-subsidized medical, dental, and vision insurance, an employer matched 403b, and other benefits averaging an additional 35% of non-salary benefit. Additional work-life benefits include generous vacation and paid time off.
