Job description

The Peel Compton Foundation is growing! We are looking for a dynamic fundraiser with a passion for our mission to join our fast-paced development team and help us drive meaningful impact as a Development Coordinator.
Job Summary:
The Development Coordinator plays a key role in planning and executing Foundation events, managing sponsor/vendor relationships and fulfillment, coordinating volunteers, and supporting fundraising initiatives across all Peel Compton Foundation properties. This position provides event, sponsorship, administrative, and operational support while helping create exceptional experiences for sponsors, donors, volunteers, and community members.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of fundraising and community events across all Foundation properties
  • Support event logistics, including set up and breakdown, inventory and guest management, attendee communications and onsite operations.
  • Assist with transportation, organization, and preparation of event materials and supplies
  • Assist the Development team with donor and sponsor acknowledgements, reports and other development-related materials
  • Collaborate with the team to brainstorm and implement new event ideas and fundraising initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate donor, sponsor, volunteer and event records within the Foundation's donor management system
  • Flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings and weekends as required by event schedules.
  • Assist in distribution of event invitations, promotional materials, and follow-up communications.
  • Coordinate and serve as main point of contact for volunteer recruitment, scheduling, communications and assignments across Foundation properties and programs.

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organization skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Proficient in Canva and Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Experience working with donor databases or CRM systems preferred
  • Excellent analytical abilities that can be applied in aligning the organization's objectives with available funding opportunities.
Education and Experience:
  • At least three years of nonprofit fundraising, development, and marketing (past experience preferred)
  • College degree in business, nonprofit studies, and/or related field is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. If requested, reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
While performing the duties of this job, the associate is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to feel, handle or operate objects, use of hands and arms; speak; hear; stoop; kneel and crouch. Must be able to regularly lift and carry up to 30 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds with assistance. Must be able to load, unload, transport and set up event materials, signage, tables, chairs, tent, and other event-related equipment. The associate's duties is performed in fluctuating weather conditions and is performed 40% in the field and 60% in an administrative office setting.
