About the Job
 

The Division of Hematology, Oncology & Transplantation (HOT) at the University of Minnesota Medical School, in partnership with the Masonic Cancer Center (an NCI-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center), is recruiting a faculty physician with expertise in malignant hematology. This position is available at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor on the Academic or Clinician Track (non-tenure).

We seek a collaborative physicianscientist, clinical investigator, or clinician-educator who will deliver outstanding patient care and contribute to the advancement of clinical, translational, and/or laboratory research across hematologic malignancies. Areas of focus may includebut are not limited toacute and chronic leukemias, lymphomas, plasma cell disorders, myeloid malignancies, cellular therapy, and transplantation.

Responsibilities
Provide outstanding clinical care to patients with hematologic malignancies in inpatient and outpatient settings.
Participate in and/or lead clinical, translational, or basic science research programs aligned with institutional priorities.
Develop, implement, and oversee investigator-initiated and cooperative group clinical trials as appropriate.
Contribute to teaching and mentorship across undergraduate medical education, graduate medical education, and fellowship training.
Collaborate with division, department, and cancer center leadership to advance programmatic growth in malignant hematology.

Qualifications
 

Required Qualifications:
M.D. (or equivalent).
Board Eligible or Board Certified in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology.
Demonstrated excellence in patient care and commitment to academic medicine.
Strong teaching and mentorship skills.
Evidence of research productivity with potential foror record ofextramural funding (as appropriate to rank and track).
Eligibility for medical licensure in the state of Minnesota and ability to meet credentialing requirements.

Pay and Benefits
 

Pay Range: This role is dually employed by the University of Minnesota and University of Minnesota Physicians.  Total combined salary is anticipated to be in the range of $270,000-$465,407. Total salary is competitive with the market and based on AAMC salary benchmarks.  Salary at the University of Minnesota is dependent upon academic effort of the person hired, and begins at $55,000. Clinical salary, aligned with clinical effort, is provided through University of Minnesota Physicians, and begins at $215,000.  Applicants should complete this application and also an application for a position with the University of Minnesota Physicians; depending on education/qualifications/experience
