What does an associate product marketing manager do?

An Associate Product Marketing Manager (APMM) supports the development and execution of marketing strategies for specific products or product lines. They collaborate with cross-functional teams, conduct market research, assist in product launches, and help create marketing materials. Their goal is to ensure products are effectively positioned in the market to meet customer needs and drive business growth. This entry-level role often serves as a stepping stone to more senior product marketing positions.

  • Partner with Sales and customer-facing teams to understand their needs and develop tools and content that support customer engagement.
  • Help ensure product messaging and marketing materials are accurate, consistent, and aligned across channels.
  • Stay current on advances in single-cell genomics, Parse Biosciences' technology and products, customer needs, and the broader competitive landscape.
  • Support additional product marketing projects and initiatives as the business and product portfolio continue to grow.

FOR THIS POSITION, WE LOOK FOR

  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences, marketing, business, or a related discipline; a scientific background is strongly preferred.
  • 1 - 3 years of relevant experience in product marketing, marketing, product management, customer/application support, or another relevant role within life sciences, biotechnology, genomics, or a related industry.
  • An interest in developing expertise in product marketing and translating complex scientific concepts into clear, compelling customer-facing communications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with scientific and technical audiences.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively across multiple teams and functions.
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn about customers, markets, products, and emerging scientific technologies.
  • Experience with genomics, next-generation sequencing, or single-cell technologies is preferred but not required.

JOB CONDITIONS

  • This position is home office based and will require a reliable internet connection and suitable workspace to fulfill job duties effectively. Laptop and any other essential technical/home office equipment will be provided.
  • Regular communication and collaboration with team members will occur virtually through Zoom meetings, instant messaging, and email.
