A Day In The Life
The Travel & Events Specialist serves as an operational partner within the Travel & Events department, supporting incentive initiatives, meetings, and events. This role works closely with a team of meeting planners to manage departmental systems, processes, and administrative functions that support the successful planning and execution of programs. The Specialist supports core operational areas, including data management, vendor coordination, budget monitoring, and contract documentation. This position plays an important role in maintaining organized workflows, ensuring accuracy across team systems, and supporting efficient program delivery. The Travel & Events Specialist contributes to operational efficiency and the effective use of departmental resources to support high-quality travel and event experiences
As a Spclst, Travel & Events you will:
  • Sharepoint and master calendar coordination
  • Small meeting contracts to include initiation, review and implementation for independent projects or in collaboration with Corporate Meeting Planners working with Procurement Financial management of departmental or event budgets
  • Data management and retention - travel and events reports
  • Department liaison to Accounting, IT, Security, Mail Room, Risk and Compliance
  • Internal website content management
  • Purchasing responsibilities related to departmental and event needs such as vendor set up, supply ordering, payment and expense reporting
  • Travel, destination or supplier research and sourcing to support incentive trips or internal events

What We Need From You
  • Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college Req
  • 2-5 years of experience in a corporate meeting background, DMC role, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience Required
  • Travel industry experience Preferred
  • Concur online travel or CVENT experience Preferred
  • Canva Experience
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite required, particularly Outlook, Word, Publisher and Excel
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to needs of both clients and associates in a professional manner
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Ability to show discretion in handling confidential information
  • Ability to work with varying levels of management;
  • Excellent relationship management skills
  • Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and manage projects
