Position Summary

The Operations Procurement Specialist supports purchasing, supplier management, and strategic sourcing activities for critical power infrastructure equipment. This role partners with domestic and international suppliers to optimize costs, manage purchase orders and contracts, improve supplier performance, and ensure a reliable supply chain supporting data centers, utilities, and other mission-critical markets.

Job Function

  • Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations.
  • Create, review, and issue purchase orders and supplier contracts.
  • Analyze supplier costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Track market trends and recommend actions to mitigate risk.
  • Coordinate forecasting activities between sales and suppliers.
  • Develop and maintain supplier scorecards and key performance indicators.
  • Monitor supplier quality and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Support supplier negotiations and maintain supplier agreements.
  • Travel domestically and internationally to supplier locations as needed.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Five or more years of procurement experience.
  • Experience in industrial power equipment or a related industry.
  • Experience working with international teams.

Qualifications

  • Procurement and supply chain experience in industrial or electrical equipment; China sourcing experience preferred.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Knowledge of Incoterms, freight, and tariffs.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics ERP and CRM.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%.
  • No visa sponsorship available.
  • Chinese language skills are a plus.
