Description

Rosebud Comprehensive Health Care Facility, Prairie Band Health Services, and IHS are seeking experienced Medical Laboratory Technicians or Clinical Laboratory Scientists to support the Hospital staff. This is a welcoming, mission-driven environment where your laboratory expertise directly contributes to accurate diagnosis and quality patient care in a rural healthcare setting.

Position Overview
The MLT or CLS will provide clinical laboratory services in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Responsibilities include performing diagnostic testing in chemistry, hematology, blood bank, urinalysis, serology, and microbiology, with occasional assistance in phlebotomy.
Employees should be proficient in the use of laboratory analyzers and equipment, including running quality controls, performing calibrations, and applying professional judgments when evaluating complex or non-routine laboratory results. Experience working in a hospital or primary care outpatient clinic and familiarity with Electronic Health Record systems is preferred.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years' experience as a MLT or CLS in a Hospital Medical Lab
  • Hospital experience
  • Phlebotomy skills
  • Computer Charting experience
  • Experience providing care to patients within a rural area
  • Must be a US citizen
  • Active Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Must be willing to pass Federal Security Clearance
  • Immunization records will be required
