Job description

Position Description 

  • Developing and designing packaging equipment and materials for the safe, convenient, and attractive transport of goods under various conditions.
  • Analyzing engineering drawings and specifications to determine the required types of packaging materials and to maximize convenience, utility, and function based on the product's physical characteristics, safety, and special-handling requirements.
  • Evaluating packaging and transportation methods and procedures to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Assessing and recommending efficient packing procedures, innovations in packaging materials, and the utilization of sealing and fastening devices.

Educational/Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering or a related field with at least 2 years of industry experience; or
  • Associate's degree in packaging or related field with 4+ years of packaging industry experience.
  • Minimum of 2+ years' experience in regulated industry packaging design and development.
  • Proficiency in designing and verifying packaging solutions per ISO 11607 standards.
  • Experience with packaging testing, failure analysis, and root cause analysis (RCA).
  • Strong understanding of packaging verification and validation processes.
  • Ability to analyze engineering drawings and specifications to optimize packaging utility and safety.
