Job Summary:

As a Material Handler, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and compliant movement of materials throughout our Phoenix manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for working in stockroom operations, to include kitting, material returns, maintaining inventory accuracy, and working in shipping & receiving. Your expertise will directly support the production of high-reliability aerospace and defense technologies, helping Mercury meet critical delivery timelines and uphold the highest standards of quality and security.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage the receipt, inspection, and documentation of incoming materials in accordance with quality and regulatory standards
  • Will be assigned to execution of kitting activities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely release to production
  • Perform cycle counts, inventory audits, and reconciliation processes
  • Collaborate with planning and procurement teams to resolve discrepancies and prevent shortages
  • Monitor material movement between stockroom, production, and shipping areas, ensuring safe and efficient handling
  • Operate material handling equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and barcode scanners
  • Maintain accurate inventory records within ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP), ensuring data integrity and traceability
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on lean practices, inventory optimization, and operational efficiency
  • Work with other material handlers, promoting best practices and adherence to Mercury's standards
  • Ensure strict compliance with ITAR, AS9100, ESD protocols, and Mercury's safety and quality procedures

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Typically requires a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in material handling, inventory control, or stockroom operations
  • Intermediate experience in ERP systems and inventory management tools
  • Knowledge of kitting, BOM interpretation, and production support workflows
  • Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain upon hire
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed
  • Must be able to train on first shift
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or high-reliability electronics manufacturing
  • Familiarity with AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality systems
  • Knowledge of ESD-safe handling and hazardous material protocols
  • Prior experience supporting DoD contracts or government-regulated production environments

* $38,300.00 - $76,600.00 annual salary for in-office or hybrid employees in FL, GA, IN, AZ, AL, MD or TX, and all remote employees
* $42,900.00 - $85,800.00 annual salary for in-office or hybrid employees in VA, CA, NH or MA
* $45,200.00 - $90,400.00 annual salary for in-office or hybrid employees in NJ Additional Information
