Overview
The Operations Manager is responsible for the supervision of program planners, senior program planners, and/or team leads. In addition, the Operations Manager will oversee the coordination of venues, audiovisual platforms, and travel for brand-supported events. He/she is to assist by ensuring every logistical aspect of the meeting is planned and executed within budget and according to the departmental standard operating procedures (SOPs) and timelines. The Operations Manager will also act as a secondary point of contact after the Account Manager for client questions and concerns.
Responsibilities
Responsible for overseeing and directing a team of program planners and team leaders, to meet client objectives
Provide regular and special-request client reports
Ensure all services are delivered per contractual agreement
Ensure clients' key performance metrics, service-level agreements, and general expectations are met or exceeded
Provide clear and timely dissemination of client direction to team and internal stakeholders (Quality Assuranceย
ย ย Department, Night of Event Department, etc), with defined next steps/deliverablesย
Complete all assigned deliverables for each client
Create and/or review administrative documents, such as attendee/speaker confirmations, reminders, etc
Create SOPs, to be updated and followed to maximize service levels and minimize risk
Create and update business rules based on client changes
Manage multiple clients effectively
Manage fulfillment and printing vendor if applicable
Manage outside vendors and ensure adherence to SOPs
Manage portal and work closely with outside vendor
Manage internal team workload per client
Manage a team of meeting professionals, providing feedback and coaching based on strengths, weaknesses, and

Support direct reports with plans for professional growth and development
Conduct internal client team meetings to provide updates and operational reminders
Assist with new hire training and operational setup (eg, email/server setup, equipment)
Manage special projects as assigned by managerย
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
6+ years of related pharmaceutical experience in the medical education industry
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to manage people effectively
A team-oriented, positive attitude is essentialย
Highly organized, with strong attention to detail
Capable of making solid and quick judgement calls under pressure
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Ability to work extended hours to meet clients' business needs, if needed. Some travel requiredย

Compensation Range: $75,050- $102,700 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
