Job description

Location: Remote

Department: Core Tech Network

Schedule: 8 hour shift, Monday-Friday

Salary: $154,946 - $215,985 per year

Eligible for an annual bonus incentive

What You Will Do
  • Lead the architecture and evolution of enterprise load balancing and application delivery platforms, ensuring high availability, performance, and resiliency for mission-critical applications across on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Serve as the technical authority for Layer 4-7 traffic management, defining standards, best practices, and strategic direction across F5, Citrix ADC, and VMware AVI platforms.
  • Drive innovation and modernization by partnering across infrastructure, security, cloud, and application teams to deliver scalable solutions, solve complex production challenges, and shape the future of the organization's application delivery ecosystem.
What You Will Need

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 3 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management.
Additional Preferences
  • 10+ years of experience in network engineering, with at least 5+ years in an architect-level role focused on load balancing and application delivery
  • Expert-level hands-on experience with:
    • F5 BIG-IP (LTM, GTM/DNS, ASM/APM preferred)
    • Citrix NetScaler / ADC
    • VMware NSX Advanced Load Balancer (AVI Networks)
  • Strong expertise in:
    • Layer 4-7 protocols (HTTP/S, TCP, UDP, SSL/TLS, DNS)
    • Global server load balancing (GSLB)
    • Application performance optimization and traffic steering
  • Demonstrated experience designing highly available, large-scale, mission-critical systems
  • Deep understanding of hybrid and multi-cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Proven ability to operate at both strategic architecture and deep technical levels
  • F5 Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) / F5 Certified Solution Expert (CSE)
  • Advanced or specialist certifications strongly preferred, such as:
    • Citrix Certified Professional - Networking (CCP-N) or higher
    • VMware VCP-NV or NSX Advanced Load Balancer certifications
    • Relevant cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP - Professional level preferred)
