Tombras, a 600+ person, full-service, national advertising agency with a digital mindset, is seeking an Associate director, Media Strategy.
You'll be joining one of the top independent agencies in North America. You are an innovative problem solver, instrumental in developing strategies, planning, and ensuring proper implementation media campaigns to meet and exceed client goals. You stay ahead of the trends and have great attention to detail, giving you the ability to take complete ownership of educating junior team members and getting tasks completed to bring value to our clients. Associate Directors will have experience presenting and driving communications with channel partners, as well as senior internal and external stakeholders.
Where you'll be working: Knoxville, TN or Atlanta, GA. Relocation assistance may be provided.
What you'll be doing:
  • Strategic Oversight
    • Leads their team through the development, implementation and activation of media recommendations - through hands on work and delegation of tasks
    • Develops measurement plan in conjunction with analytics team, and reads/synthesizes media performance to inform client conversations and planning and is an expert in leveraging media analytics to inform decision making, extracting insight/actions from data and relate the "story" back to client's business goals while guiding team in optimizations.
  • Team Management
    • Make decisions and provide team direction quickly to maintain workflow, modeling professionalism and collaboration among direct and expanded team (channel, analytics, account)
    • With leadership and support from senior leaders, manage the day-to-day operations to ensure consistent and high-quality client deliverables
  • Operational Stewardship
    • Helps develop scalable process to support client work and overall agency execution
    • Proficient at all media channels/tools and able to us that knowledge to advance plans
    • Leads oversight of media stewardship and communication for all assigned accounts.
    • Ensures all necessary account checks and balances are in place to mitigate errors. Leads team in solving for any gaps.

What you bring:
  • 10+ years of agency experience specific to media planning and buying with a working knowledge of paid search, paid social and programmatic
  • Creativity in developing a holistic media plan and the critical thinking skills to provide rationale
  • Capable of seeing the "big picture" - not just by campaign but also by client
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of traditional (TV, Radio, OOH and Print) and digital media strategy (including search, social and programmatic) and the role that they play in an Strategy media mix
  • At least 2+ years of mid-sized team management and cross-department collaboration
  • Understanding of digital tracking concepts and digital media trafficking process is required
  • Understanding of DCM or other ad servers required
  • Proficiency in Gmail, Drive and Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising or Communications preferred
