Job description

Louisiana Economic Development is seeking an Associate Manager for Capital Partnerships to help grow Louisiana’s innovation and venture capital ecosystem. This role supports startup growth and venture investment attraction by building relationships with investors, founders, and ecosystem partners across the state and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and manage relationships with venture capital firms, angel investors, founders, and ecosystem partners
  • Connect Louisiana startups with relevant investors and support investor readiness efforts
  • Support strategies to attract and expand venture capital activity in Louisiana
  • Represent Louisiana Innovation at conferences, meetings, and events
  • Deliver presentations promoting Louisiana’s innovation and investment opportunities
  • Track venture capital activity, partnerships, and outcomes using CRM and VC platforms such as PitchBook and Crunchbase
  • Conduct research on venture capital trends and investor activity
  • Coordinate investor meetings, visits, and ecosystem events
  • Collaborate with internal LED teams on innovation and business development initiatives


Work Experience

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, public policy, or related field
  • 1–3 years of experience in venture capital, startups, finance, economic development, or a related field (internships applicable)
  • Knowledge of venture capital and startup funding ecosystems
