Job description

Segal McCambridge, a nationally recognized litigation firm, is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join our General Liability Defense Practice Group in our Austin, Texas office. This practice includes a broad range of complex civil defense matters, including trucking and transportation, premises liability, product liability, toxic tort/asbestos litigation, and other general liability matters.

This is an outstanding opportunity for attorneys seeking substantial litigation responsibility, hands-on case management experience, and the opportunity to work closely with highly respected trial lawyers in a collaborative and mentorship-driven environment.

This role offers a hybrid work schedule. Attorneys should expect increased in-office collaboration during the onboarding and development period, with additional flexibility available as they progress within the firm.

What You'll Do

As an associate at Segal McCambridge, you'll have the opportunity to:

  • Manage a litigation caseload with partner guidance and mentorship
  • Draft and argue motions, conduct depositions, and manage written discovery
  • Appear in court and actively participate in trials and trial preparation
  • Defend clients in trucking, premises liability, product liability, toxic tort/asbestos, and other general liability matters
  • Work directly with sophisticated clients on complex, high-exposure litigation

  • Active license to practice law in Texas
