Job description

The Key Account Manager (KAM) develops, manages and grows relationships with strategic customers in the Medical Technology and other sectors. This role aligns the company's software solutions with customer objectives, promotes long-term revenue growth, and strengthens the company's position as a trusted partner in the Medical Technology sector.
We are seeking an experienced and driven Key Account Manager for this newly created position.
Your Tasks:
  1. Account Strategy & Development
    • Drive and execute strategic account development plans targeting medical technology markets and customers.
    • Expansion of existing customer relationships and development of new relationships.
    • Strategically build customer relationships from technical, commercial, management stakeholders.
  2. Customer Relationship Management
    • Identify and assess customer potential through cold calling, cross selling, customer events and other methods.
    • Analyze customer technical processes and use cases to align with Vector solutions.
    • Conduct or facilitate contract negotiations to successful outcomes.
  3. Internal Collaboration
    • Work closely with the CMI BDM and customer sales teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
    • Ensure smooth execution of product deliveries and high customer satisfaction.
    • Provide market and customer feedback to influence product or sales roadmaps.
  4. Market & Industry Insight
    • Conduct and support assessments in the field of Medical Technology and other industries.
    • Perform technical valuations in order to present our solutions to customers in a customized manner.
    • Provide intelligence on competitor offerings, customer strategies, and market shifts.
    • Present MedTech product portfolio to customers, at trade shows and professional conferences.

Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Life Sciences) or equivalent education and experience.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in software sales (BTB).
    • Strong technical understanding and affinity for embedded software.
    • Strong understanding of electronics and software solutions for healthcare applications.
    • Highly developed ability to build and manage sustainable and trust-based relationships with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Knowledge & Skills:
    • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
    • Enjoy advising clients and skilled in negotiation situations
    • Self-starter with a disciplined follow-up approach.
    • Ability to work effectively with local and global cross-functional teams
    • Ability to travel 20 to 40% as needed
